Samsung's American Galaxy S phones pose for family portrait

Samsung's American Galaxy S phones pose for family portrait: "

Samsung's US team held a swanky event in NYC this evening to launch all four of its new US-spec Galaxy S phones in style. If you haven't been brought up to speed on Samsung's stateside Android invasion, the Captivate is headed to AT&T, the Fascinate to Verizon, the Epic 4G to Sprint and the Vibrant to T-Mobile. Each of the phones have 4-inch Super AMOLED screens, 1GHz Hummingbird Cortex A8 CPUs, and cams that can capture 720p video. We've already got detailed hands on impressions of the Captivate and Epic 4G, but stay tuned for Fascinate and Vibrant previews tonight. In the meantime, check out the family all together in the pictures in the gallery below.

Samsung Fascinate for Verizon to feature Microsoft Bing search on Android: "Earlier this evening at the Samsung Galaxy S U.S. launch event in New York, we noticed that the Samsung Fascinate, the Verizon version of the Galaxy S, was sporting a Microsoft Bing search application, the first we've ever seen on an Android smartphone. The devices destined for the other 3 carriers all offered only the standard Google search.

Preorder Pandemonium Portends an iPhone 4 Sales Frenzy

Preorder Pandemonium Portends an iPhone 4 Sales Frenzy: "
Apple shares closed at $259.69 Tuesday, up $5.41, or 2.13 percent, in volatile trading. While that number soars far above Apple's year-ago figure, it's almost ho-hum compared to what we've seen AAPL do earlier this year. What's interesting about Apple's share price levels on Tuesday was that the overall U.S. market, led by technology and industrial stocks, was up -- the Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq each gained between 2 and 3 percent for the day. Taken in context, it makes one wonder whether perhaps Apple share prices are cooling off a tad."

Apple, AT&T Brace for iPhone Mania, Part IV

Apple, AT&T Brace for iPhone Mania, Part IV: "
The iPhone 4 will be available for purchase on Thursday, and there are signs that this could be among the most frenzied product releases that Apple -- or any other company -- has ever seen. Compared to previous Apple product releases, "there appears to be more buzz this time," said Michael Gartenberg, a partner with Altimeter Group. "They got more than 600,000 pre-sale orders on the first day they started taking them; I think that exceeded even Apple's and AT&T's expectations."

Nokia E73 Mode Spotted Early at a T-mobile Store: "

The Nokia E73 Mode isn’t expected to go on sale until June 16th, but TmoNews already found one in the wild and took a bunch of hands-on photos. After having some time with it, they say Nokia, “still makes some of the best looking phones on the planet.”

The Nokia E73 is similar to the Nokia E72, but supports the T-mobile USA 3G network. It will be the thinnest full QWERTY keyboard smartphone available from T-Mobile and is priced at $69.99 with 2-year contract. Full specs and details available at the Nokia E73 official product page. Any takers?
